We have an opening for a Human Resources Associate to join our growing HR team. This person will be responsible for supporting our HR initiatives, as well as our recruiting and on boarding activities.

Job Tasks and Responsibilities:

  • Recruiting Support:
    • Main point of contact for candidates throughout the recruitment process
    • Conduct phone interviews with selected candidates for available positions and send phone screen notes to hiring managers
    • Greet candidates who arrive for on-site interviews and introduce them to the company
    • Coordinate travel arrangements and expense reimbursements for out-of-state candidates
    • Generate weekly recruiting reports to HR Manager
    • Ensure candidates and data on Applicant Tracking System (Workable) are up to date
    • Coordinating with managers for hiring needs to achieve hiring goals
  • Human Resources and Administrative Support:
    • Prepare new hire packets (i.e. benefits enrollment, I-9s, company policies, etc.), manage and facilitate new hire orientations
    • Prepare new employee personnel files
    • Audit, maintain, and update confidential employee records for relevant compliance requirements
    • Oversee accurate and timely compliant completion of I-9 processes via E-verify and facilitate background checks
    • Manage work anniversary recognition program
    • Assist in creation and updating company procedures/protocols
    • Verify and submit benefit, employee parking, and commuter benefit invoices to accounting
    • Event planning support (i.e. holiday party, after work events, flu clinic, etc.)
    • Act as a back up for reception
    • Other miscellaneous administrative tasks and special projects as assigned

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or a related field
  • 1+ years experience in human resources or recruiting support role preferred
  • Knowledge of general recruiting methods and procedures
  • Familiar with California and federal labor laws, rules and regulations
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong organization and detail oriented
  • Able to multi task in a fast paced environment
